Favor file: Treat your guests to a fabulous candy buffet

Want to cause your guests to be tickled pink and to laugh with the glee of a five-year-old? It's easy. Offer a candy buffet as your wedding favor.

Who wouldn't want to enter a room and see a long decorated table filled with a wonderful array of candy goodness? Martha Stewart made it a major trend, and many sites indicate that the trend is here to stay. Not only is it cheap to do, it's also completely easy and bound to impress your guests.

Here's how you do it:
  • After draping a table in cloth, mix and match candy containers of varying height and shape. Don't limit yourself. If you find a container that candy could go into and would be perfect, by all means use it.
  • Buy a variety of your favorite candies or seasonal candies to fill the containers and include a scoop or something to transfer the candy for your guests.
  • Decorate with flower petals, confetti, candles, or any other decoration that will make the scene perfect.
Don't forget to include a container of some sort so your guests won't have to stuff their pockets. The traditional cone-shaped clear plastic holder is simple, easy to fill, and easy to have personalized with stick-on greetings or photos. Also include ribbon or colored twisty-ties for a fast way to close the goodie bags.
